Books & Besos Giveaway: Five Sunlit Novels + The Ultimate Summer Earrings
Share Books & Besos and win books & earrings! Because the summer is long and books are expensive
¡Hola, queridos!1
It’s Launch Week in Books & Besos, and what better way to celebrate than by bribing readers giving away nice things?
Share this Substack with others and win a bundle of five delicious, summery, sunlit, warm, flirty, and overall gorgeous Mediterranean-themed novels.
A Perfect Story by Elisabet Benavent: From the #1 Spanish romcom queen comes this sparkling friends-to-lovers tale that travels from the buzzing streets of Madrid to the sun-drenched, dreamy beaches of the Greek Islands. This book is (very) hot, sweet, and hits harder than expected. The Netflix show is also phenomenal.
Driving Over Lemons by Chris Stewart: The real-life story of a British musician who buys a farm in the South of Spain and has to deal with nature, quirky locals, and rebellious sheep. This book has been around since I read it as a teenager, but they released the 25th-anniversary edition not long ago because it’s that good.
One Year Ago in Spain by Evelyn Skye: After an accident puts her Spanish boyfriend, Matías, in a coma, Claire has to convince his amnesiac soul to remember their story and come back to his body. I adore magical realism (see: my novel for proof), so I can’t wait to dive into this one! Evelyn Skye also writes a super encouraging, useful, and vibrant Substack.
Love and Gelato by Jenna Evans Welch: Lina goes to Tuscany to meet the dad she’s never known, but then she finds her mom’s old journal and starts uncovering all the sweet secrets about her past, love, and gelato. Who wouldn’t want to read a novel with literally the two best things about life in the title?
Bikini by Amber Eve: This one isn’t even out yet, and I already need it. It has a former popstar (I love them, too!), a Greek island (I’m moving to one!—No, literally, I’m moving to Greece in August), a fake engagement, and alliterating main characters—Leo & Lana, you can’t not root for these two. Amber’s Substack is also delicious
But wait! There’s more!
You’ll also receive this gorgeous pair of steel and porcelain earrings, inspired by my hometown Málaga’s typical flower, the biznaga—the only man-made flower2, handcrafted by inserting jasmine blossoms into a dried wild thistle stem.

Besos,
Don’t know what to comment? Some ideas:
📚Recommend us a book for the summer.
💃🏻Tell us where you’ll wear the biznaga earrings if you win.
👯♀️ Mention a bookworm friend!
Did you know? In Spanish, we have opening exclamation and question marks (¿ and ¡).
Technically, there are millions of man-made flowers, but the biznaga is the only one made with real natural plant parts.
I would have commented this post without any present. But, after reading what I can get, it is just silly not do it.
All the selected books look very excited
By the way, I love biznagas ⬆️😉💐
